Antibes and Cap d’Antibes

Halfway between Nice and Cannes, the seaside resort of Antibes Juan les Pins has long sandy beaches where you can practice all water sports.
Start your day with a visit to the old town. Every morning, Cours Massena hosts a market with local products. Nearby is Vauban Harbor where you can admire sailing boats, yachts and the most luxurious ships in the world docked at the Billiardaire’s Quay.
Part of the old town is pedestrian and you will find many shops during the day and the terraces of bars and restaurants with orchestras in the evening. The animation is omnipresent.
On the Art side, the Picasso Museum occupies the Grimaldi Castle, a magnificent medieval building. The artist set up his studio there for 6 months and gave to the museum all the works he produced there : paintings, but also ceramics made with the artisans of the city of Vallauris.
In the early afternoon, discover Cap d’Antibes. You can hike along the “Tirepoil” coastal path to the Lighthouse: it runs along a succession of small coves where you can rest. You can see Villa Eilenroc as well as huge properties with lush gardens. It is also in the bay of La Garoupe that you can choose to swim or spend a relaxing day on a private beach.
