Flowers and fruits festivals introduce spring
As every year in February, flower-filled festivities celebrate with a little advance the return of spring and the citrus season from one end of the department to the other.
To vary the animations from one year to the next, the theme of the Feast of the Lemon in Menton, that of the Carnival of Nice, and the Feast of the Mimosa in Mandelieu changes every year.

In the evening or in the afternoon, gardens of lights, corsos of the golden fruits or nocturnal corsos alternate musical performances, parades and parades of chariots.
The Carnival of Nice is from 10th to 26th February 2023, moves on the promenade of the Paillon, on the theme of the King of World’s Treasures.
The tanks will present all the creativity deployed by carnavaliers. The spectators will see the parades, and can disguise themselves to participate free of charge at the party! Battles of flowers, confetti and streamers are also de rigueur.
From the 8th to the 12th of February in Mandelieu, the mimosa festival is organized on the theme of the “Race around the World”, along with corsos, organized walks in the plantations, a guided tour of the nursery, a release of luminous lanterns, a pyrotechnic show, and the election of the queen of the mimosa.
