Petanque lessons in Saint Paul de Vence
During your stay at Mas du chanoine, you can book a one hour Petanque lesson at the Tourist Office of Saint Paul de Vence.
On reservation all around the year except sundays and bank holidays, on the village square, you can learn how to play one-to-one or by teams.
The instructor will explain in English or French the basics of the game, will lend you the metal boules and let you play.
You will discover the fun of this game, very practiced in the South of France.
You will learn during the hour, the tactics of the game: whether it is better to “point” (ie get points by moving your boule as close as possible to the jack) or “shoot” : pull dislodging the boules of your opponent.
You will see how the points are counted, once all the boules have been thrown.
Depending on dates and availability of the instructor, the lesson can be organized joined to small groups from a minimum of two.
After this lesson, you can practice again on the “boulodrome” of Mas du chanoine, and challenge other guests or the owners!
